Speed Dating and the Ipad Let the Games Begin

Wow I heard a new one today. It seems that a company has come out with a speed dating app for the Ipad. Working with college students I am privy to all sorts of cutting edge information. I learned to connect my computer to my flat screen and stream movies long before my friends had even had netflix.

First I must admit I don’t have an Ipad. What I have is a 17 inch Macbook Ppro which other than my wife, job, and cat has no rival for my attention. Also, I am not much for speed dating but online dating is how I found my wonderful wife and coincidently cat, as they were a package deal.

I think about my first contact with her online and I sincerely am struck with the realization that essentially to many I was an Ipad speed dater. To many my first message from her was no different than an initial flirt on this app. Our subsequent emails, phone calls, vacations, dates, and marriage though began with an innocent introduction. Started with a mere cyber glance that led me to my joy.

So while I will freely admit my upbringing and age lead me to want to ask what good can come of this. My history, and realization of my slight against the norm approach prefers to say “Good Luck".

James Bond lives in Southern California with his wife Janka and cat Wyatt. He works with a community college district as a coordinator of student activities. JamesandJanka also provide advice to couples on communication techniques and activities to increase intimacy in relationships.

Thank you very much. I will have to tell Janka I was called open minded she sometimes seems to think I can be occasionally pig-headed.
